how to wear a bustier for the fall
Truthfully, I was never a fan of the bustier because of the challenge of putting it on by pushing up the bust by tightening against the upper midriff inside a stiff cage with twenty laces does not appeal to me. Oh boy, it is uncomfortable. Though the hourglass figure with a tiny waist is trending hot on social media, it might be a great idea to give me that body shape by sporting an uncomfortable bustier. I have a load of respect for the women during the Victorian era having to wear a caged bustier underneath their dresses to maintain a stiff shape and appearance. Thankfully, the corset went out of style after that era for simpler fashion styles.
Today, girls wear them outside of their garments, primarily alone as a star piece of their outfit of the day. However, I’m masculating the traditional Lace bustier piece for the fall season by styling it with a pair of culottes, oversized shirt and a classic camel trench coat. Other than my love for androgyny in fashion, I enjoy tonal dressing. It’s easy and appealing on the eye like the camel tones in this outfit today.
